More Paper Crafting - Collage Art

Here's what I came up with for this collage. Prompts:
*weather *a person *handwriting *a map
*a number *rubber stamping in 2 different colors.

I love the pop of red my pioneer gal gives the piece, and her story was set in Kansas, so the map applies. The handwriting is from a card from my cousin. Winter is my favorite season besides Fall.  Love it.

Favorite Art Journal to Start the Year

Here's my new Art Journal (aka: junk journal) to start a New Year!

I stewed and stewed over various ideas for displaying lavender on the cover and finally settled on this wonderful silk & plastic lavender bouquet. I modified it a bit before gluing, of course.  I love it - my new favorite!

The next photo is meant to show the edges of four signatures of hand dyed inked papers, and several inserts for inclusion. Lots of fun ahead!

Best to you all - embrace crafting this week!

Calendar Art Journal - November 2020

My November Art Journal pages depict the treasures of home, friends and family. I am wishing you all a Wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. We have much to be thankful for, even in troublesome times.

I've used scrapbooking papers, a magazine tear out, and a strip of the top ply of an autumn napkin. The napkin plys were separated and a long 1 inch strip cut. I applied plenty of glue stick in the area I'd chosen, then I laid down the napkin piece and scrunched and pushed it together. Some areas needed a touch more glue, and yep my fingers stuck to the paper but it all worked out!

Calendar Art Journal - October 2020

I've been watching YouTube videos with Pam at The Paper Outpost and doing the funnest crafts! Stamping, decor envelopes small and large, stenciling, journal making and book re-purposing. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSkwO0IRem3AAzRvMj6jPbw

Pam shows how to use decorative napkins, separating the ply thicknesses and decorating with the imprinted top ply of tissue. The autumn leaves for these pages came from dinner napkins. The butterflies came from a 3D package for embellishing scrapbooks and the like. Isn't that little black envelop with golden swirls cute! It's folded from 6" square origami paper with a bead cluster on the closure triangle. You can stash little 2" treasures inside. Oh, and the pen - it's an old marker that I deco-wrapped with washi tape, topped with a button of course!

Hoping you are safe, well and inspired to make fun stuffs. Please share.
