My Garden Path Scroll: First 2 Prompts

A joyful start to Roxy's Journal of Stitchery Vol 3, Down the Garden Path (see YouTube): first prompt was wildflowers. second--a garden gate. Fabulous opportunity to use decorative ribbons, yarns and buttons! 

I found it frustrating to work with the long strip, so I stopped at two and re-started to create a wall hanging.

Lots more to add! The "shed" and following prompts to be done on squares of linen approx. 4X4" & added across the bottom of the piece, or where ever it looks best:)

Slow Stitch Project: Make A Scroll Fabric Collage

My Fabric Scroll, inspired by Anne Brooke, is finished! It is horizontal and ~42" long, 4" high. I used a cut off from an old broom handle for the dowel and glued a jumbo black button for each end to attach the beginning edge of the fabric. It is made of cotton fabrics, some muslin pieces ink stamped, buttons, lace, YoYo's, Lots of fun!
