A cool look for this hot summer:
This is called re-purposing a failed painting. Failed not because it's bad, just because Mom hadn't finished it.
So, I gave it a single coat of gesso and saw a winter scene telegraphing through. I used permanent carbon ink to sketch the mountains, trees and frozen lake. Just a few lines made a fun scene appear. This became a favorite -- so what did I do but gesso another !! :)
The trees below is a cut off of a landscape painting I just finished. But, it was more to my liking separated on its own.
