Value Study Series in Black/White/Gray #4

I am still playing with the portrait value studies.  This portrait is also based on one of my watercolor paintings of a live model.  It is entitled "Aspiring Writer" and is 9"X14".  I continue to use commercial cotton fabric, ink and acrylic paints, but I changed to felt for batting for this piece.  The felt batting helps make the piece more firm.  It handled beautifully.  I plan to use it more.


I have also done another "Guy with a Hat" - I like him better without piecing the facial features.  12"X14"
