How About Lost & Found Edges in an Art Quilt

I'm exploring lost & found edges.  I dyed this heavy cotton fabric some time ago and it spoke "trees" to me.  I stitched in leaves and berries and the piece came alive.  Detailed bark lines strengthened the trunk and branches.  Fun experiment! 
Have you done something like this?  How have fabrics spoken to you?  Please share.
