Happy New Year 2015 !!!

I love to blog to promote art and artists!  I publish articles about art and I think you would enjoy reading my Artists' Interviews - on my Featured Artist's pages above.  I participate in a few 'linkin'  opportunities to share my art with blog groups of creative folks.  See my Creative Fun page - tab above.

The Alzheimer's Association, Memories in the Making creative arts program is near and dear to my heart.  I work with a group of seniors weekly to paint, and enjoy music.  It has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience!  I write about my experiences on my Thursday Watercolor Memories page above.  For more information I have included some informative links: Memories in the Making -  http://www.alz.org/oc/in_my_community_10849.asp   and  Dr Sacks work - http://musicophilia.com/music_video.htm , and the "Alive Inside" Documentary -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zo_JQZo3Y0

  8. I am here by way of the blog party. Thank you for your work with these special people. My father had Alzheimers. My mother in law is in a nursing home and has demetia. I wish she was able to do something like this. She sits and cries or screams all day long. It's just such a shame. Thanks for your work.

  12. You have a very eclectic blog. I was so impressed by your writings, and the way you spotlight other artists. But I was most impressed with your work with those with Alzheimers and dementia. I really enjoyed visiting your blog. It was a genuine breath of fresh air.

  15. Bless you for the work you do with seniors - so many people are afraid to interact with the elderly who have so much to teach us if we're only willing to listen. Thank you for inviting us to visit with you.

  20. Welcome to the party! I have never quote managed to fully comprehend watercolour medium. Oils, coloured pencils, even pastels ... but not watercolours. I always lay them on too thick (no complaints as the work looks good after a fashion) though not the usual watercolours. Hope you enjoy the party.
