"Lady Dova" - Black & White Silhouetted Figure

I finished this figure in Black & White silk, organza and tulle early this year.  What a fun piece to make!  30"W X 54"H

The piece is reminiscent of the horse race scene from My Fair Lady.  As Lady in training: Flower Girl to Lady, she was overcome with enthusiasm at the race.  She is so natural and her costume so chic it displays the paradox of her training regime.  She proves to be a woman of strong character and intelligence.  I chose her for a dynamic subject in Black & White.

Lady Dova is just home from Penn National and is now at Quilt Show & Market in Houston!
